Five years in business is a milestone worth celebrating — especially for a salon built on connection, creativity, and conscious beauty. The Alchemist Hair & Beauty marked their fifth birthday with an evening that reflected everything they stand for: community, collaboration, and care.

In October 2025, I had the pleasure of capturing their 5th birthday evening celebration, celebrating five years of thoughtful, intentional work rooted in care — both for people and the planet. The atmosphere throughout the evening beautifully reflected the heart of the salon, feeling less like a business milestone and more like a coming together of community.

Held on 16th October 2025, the salon transformed into an intimate celebration space, filled with warmth, conversation, and flowing Prosecco and canapés. The evening brought together a curated selection of like-minded local brands, each perfectly aligned with The Alchemist’s ethos.

Guests browsed stalls from:

The atmosphere felt relaxed yet elevated — a true celebration of collaboration, creativity, and conscious small businesses coming together. The evening was made even more special by the attendance of the local mayor, marking the occasion as a true milestone for the salon.

As a photographer, my focus was on capturing the in-between moments — glasses clinking, hands browsing jewellery, conversations unfolding, and the details that tell the story long after the night has ended.

An Earth-Conscious Space

The Alchemist Hair & Beauty is proudly a Kevin Murphy salon, using earth-conscious, cruelty-free and vegan products throughout their services. This philosophy runs through every element of the space — from the carefully curated interior to the way clients are welcomed and cared for.

It’s more than a salon; it’s a freedom space — somewhere clients are encouraged to feel relaxed, confident, and completely themselves.

Returning for a Branding Session

In December, I returned to the salon to capture a branding photography session, updating their visual identity with a collection of editorial-style portraits and modern headshots of the team.

This session was all about showcasing the women behind the brand — confident, skilled, and effortlessly stylish. We focused on:
