Family life is made up of the moments that shape your story — the laughter, the in-between glances, the way your children fit perfectly in your arms right now.

I’m a lifestyle family photographer based in Ipswich, Suffolk, specialising in natural, storytelling family photography that focuses on connection rather than posing. My sessions are relaxed and child-led, allowing space for play, movement and genuine emotion.

These sessions are about documenting your family as you are, just for this season of life. I’ll guide you gently while giving you the freedom to simply be together, creating timeless images full of warmth, love and authenticity.

ABOUT FAMILY SESSIONS

Family sessions can take place outdoors at one of Suffolk’s beautiful locations or in the comfort of your own home — depending on what feels right for your family. I photograph families across Ipswich and the wider Suffolk area, helping you choose a setting that suits your children and the natural pace of your session.

You don’t need to worry about posing or perfect behaviour — children are encouraged to explore, play and be themselves. I’ll offer gentle guidance where needed, but mostly I’ll step back and allow moments to unfold naturally, keeping the experience relaxed and enjoyable.

Alongside family sessions, I also offer milestone sessions to document your little one’s story as they grow — from cake smashes and birthdays to any special chapter you’d love to remember.

AFTER YOUR SESSION

Around 2–4 weeks after your session, you’ll receive your private online gallery via email. Depending on which package you choose, you’ll select your favourite images and I’ll prepare your final gallery in full high resolution — ready for you to treasure forever.

Family sessions are designed to feel easy, unrushed and true to you. Whether we’re exploring outdoors or spending time together at home, the focus is on connection, laughter and the beautifully imperfect moments that make your family yours.

I’ll gently guide you when needed, but there’s no expectation for children to sit still or perform — play, movement and curiosity are definitely my preferred vibe!

MILESTONE SESSIONS

Milestone photography sessions are a beautiful way to document your child’s journey as they grow, from first birthdays and cake smash sessions to any special stage you’d love to remember. Based in Suffolk, my milestone sessions are relaxed, playful and completely child-led, allowing little ones to explore, move and show their personality without pressure. Whether your session takes place at home or outdoors, I focus on capturing natural, emotive images that celebrate your child exactly as they are. I’d recommend booking your milestone session a few weeks ahead of your little one’s celebration to ensure your images are ready in time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Family sessions can take place either outdoors at one of Suffolk’s beautiful locations or in the comfort of your own home, depending on what feels right for your family. I’m based in Ipswich and regularly photograph families across Suffolk, but I’m also more than happy to travel further afield for sessions. If you have a special location in mind outside of Suffolk, just let me know — I love exploring new places and capturing families in settings that feel meaningful to them. A small travel fee may apply for locations further away.
Around 2–4 weeks after your shoot, you’ll receive a soft proof gallery where you can view your images and choose your favourites depending on your selected package.
After you’ve made your selections, I’ll complete the final edits, remove the watermark, and deliver your images in full high resolution for you to download and treasure.
I always recommend choosing outfits that feel comfortable and natural. Keep things simple and avoid bright colours, large logos or busy patterns, as these can be distracting in photos.
Soft, neutral tones work beautifully and photograph well together. Try to pick clothes that complement each other rather than matching exactly — this really does make a difference to the final images.

To secure your session date, a £50 deposit is required, with the remaining balance due on or before your session. Once booked, I’ll be in touch with everything you need to prepare, including styling tips and session guidance.

Yes I am fully insured, including equipment too. I always bring back up equipment on the session.
If weather conditions affect your session and you’d prefer not to have your session at home, we will reschedule as soon as possible.
I usually recommend contacting me after your 20 week scan and then we will book your maternity session for when you’re around 28–34 weeks. By this stage your bump has a lovely shape, and you’ll hopefully still feel comfortable enough to move around and enjoy the session.
That said, every pregnancy is different, so we can always tailor the timing to suit you and your bump.
That’s completely okay — and very normal. There’s no expectation for children to sit still, smile on cue or “perform” during a family session. I encourage little ones to explore, play and be themselves, and some of the most meaningful images come from those in-between moments.
I’ll gently guide where needed, but I always work at your child’s pace. Whether they’re shy, full of energy, or need time to warm up, we’ll keep things relaxed and pressure-free — allowing natural connection and genuine moments to unfold.
