I’m a lifestyle newborn and maternity photographer based in Ipswich, Suffolk, specialising in relaxed in-home newborn photography, capturing natural, storytelling imagery for growing families.

My maternity sessions are relaxed and connection-focused, taking place either in beautiful outdoor locations across Suffolk or in the comfort of your own home — wherever you feel most like yourself. These sessions are about celebrating this beautiful chapter and documenting your growing family, just as you are in this moment.

Whether you’re marking the anticipation of pregnancy or preserving those first days with your newborn, I’ll capture your story in a calm, timeless way — creating images that feel honest, emotive and true to you.

ABOUT NEWBORN SESSIONS

Your newborn bubble is such a special time, and it’s a true honour to be invited into it. For newborn sessions, I will send you my newborn guide and make a note of your estimated due date. Once your little one has arrived safely, just let me know and I’ll offer some available dates to get your newborn photoshoot booked in.

Sessions usually take place within the first 14 days, although if you need a little longer to recover, we can arrange a date that feels right for you. Some families prefer to have their newborn session later, often around 8 weeks, and this works beautifully too.

My sessions take place in the comfort of your own home, where you and your baby can feel completely relaxed and at ease. There’s no posing — I focus on capturing natural newborn photography and real moments as they unfold. If you prefer a studio setting, this can be arranged at an additional cost.

Each session is baby-led, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and changes. Sessions typically last around two hours, and I bring along a small selection of optional outfits and blankets for you to use if you wish.

AFTER YOUR SESSION

Around 1–2 weeks after your session, you’ll receive your private online gallery via email. Depending on which package you choose, you’ll select your favourite images and I’ll prepare your final gallery in full high resolution — ready for you to treasure forever.

My sessions typically last around two hours, allowing plenty of time for cuddling, feeding, changing and resettling. If we run over, that’s absolutely fine — sessions are completely baby-led.

All sessions include full use of my blankets, accessories and baby basket should you wish to use them. If you’d prefer to keep things natural and minimal, that’s perfectly fine too.

ABOUT MATERNITY SESSIONS

As a mum myself, I know just how precious that baby bump is and how quickly this chapter passes. I never had a maternity session when I was expecting, and it’s something I truly regret — which is why these sessions mean so much to me. They’re not just about the bump, but about capturing the emotion, anticipation and excitement of what’s to come.

My maternity sessions can take place at home or on location and are completely relaxed, natural and focused on bringing your vision to life. If you prefer a studio setting, this can be arranged for a small additional cost.

During the booking process, I’ll offer guidance on what to wear for your maternity photoshoot so you feel your best on the day. I also have connections with trusted dress-hire brands and can help arrange something bespoke if you'd like to include a hired piece in your session.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes I am fully insured, including equipment too. I always bring back up equipment on the session.

  • I recommend booking your newborn session as early as possible — ideally after your 20-week scan. This allows me to reserve your estimated due date as a “soft” booking. Once your baby arrives safely, just send me a message and we’ll confirm a date for your session.

    Newborn shoots usually take place between birth and 14 days old, but if you need a little longer to recover, we can schedule the session for when you feel ready. Sessions can also take place at any age, capturing babies alert and their first smiles is just as beautiful.

    All newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your home, but if you'd prefer a location session, just let me know and we can explore some suitable options together.

  • I usually recommend contacting me after your 20 week scan and then we will book your maternity session for when you’re around 28–34 weeks. By this stage your bump has a lovely shape, and you’ll hopefully still feel comfortable enough to move around and enjoy the session.

    That said, every pregnancy is different, so we can always tailor the timing to suit you and your bump.

  • Sessions can take place either in the comfort of your home or at an outdoor location we choose together. I know lots of beautiful spots across Suffolk, and I’m always happy to help you find the perfect setting for your session.

  • Around 2–4 weeks after your shoot, you’ll receive a soft proof gallery where you can view your images and choose your favourites depending on your selected package.

    After you’ve made your selections, I’ll complete the final edits, remove the watermark, and deliver your images in full high resolution for you to download and treasure.

  • I always recommend choosing outfits that feel comfortable and natural. Keep things simple and avoid bright colours, large logos or busy patterns, as these can be distracting in photos.

    Soft, neutral tones work beautifully and photograph well together. Try to pick clothes that complement each other rather than matching exactly — this really does make a difference to the final images.
